Claire Rattee is a long-time Skeena-Bulkley Valley resident and former Kitimat municipal councillor. She runs two small businesses in the area and has been a resident for over a decade.
Claire’s passion for politics started at a young age but it wasn’t until she moved to the North that she became really involved due to her love of the area and seeing the various challenges faced by the residents. From fighting for resource development projects, advocating for better access to mental health and addictions services and working on projects that provide low income and seniors housing Claire is well versed on the various unique challenges the residents of Skeena-Bulkley Valley face. Her experiences as a small business owner have also fuelled her passion for improving access to better funding sources for entrepreneurs in the region and supporting shop local campaigns.
Claire’s other passions include advocating for animals and supporting local animal shelters, drawing and painting in her spare time and exploring our beautiful region. Her focus is to give back to the community that has given her so much and she is prepared to work for her constituents trust and represent them in Ottawa to secure a bright future for all of our residents.
Claire lives in Kitimat with her partner Colton.
